First week, first ideas.

We're having a Halloween party at school.

I'm dressed up like Dracula, man I look cool.

I dyed my hair black, and cut off my bangs.

I'm wearing a cape and some fake plastic fangs.

I put on some makeup to paint my face white.

Like creatures that only come out in the night.

My fingernails too, are all pointed and red.

I look like I'm really back from the dead.

My mom drops me off, and I run into school,

and suddenly I feel like the worlds biggest fool.

The other kids stare like I'm some kind of freak.

The Halloween party is not till next week.

My first ideas for the story line is to twist it round into something you dont expect. I was going to have to peom about a real vampire pretending to be a college student by going as himself to the dance. Because nobody would suspect him being a real vampire, then he could.... eat the party people! But of course he comes in early and looks like a fool. I could do two endings, one where he flies away all embarrassed. The other with him saying 'oh well.... its still dinner time!' Both could work just as well but that would depend on the characters personality. If he is more of a sinister character ill have him eat people anyway. But I may go with the idea of him being a bit of a 'bad' vampire. Who wants to look scary but fails a bit, therefore this type of character would be more likely to be cowardly and a sense of shame, therefore running away.

 

Here are the thumbnails i drew up to get an idea of how things may plan out. I want to get him doing a little poem to himself. In a theatrical kind of atmosphere. As if he is so excited and proud of his idea he is creating a little scene by himself. I also considered what to do about the 'mum drops me off scene.' Again it depends of the actual character. For the sinister character im thinking of him saying 'mum', sarcastically. The driver being a ghoul with makeup or something feminine stuck on for comedy. The googfy, failure vampire character, might actually have his mother drive him there. Then have him saying 'love you too mum,' like an embarrassed teenager.

 The writing on this picture explains it... I changed my idea completely. This on is of a goofy wanna be vampire teenager. A 'fanboy' of teenagers. I want to make him friendly, geeky and goofy. He will be acting very exited and proud of his vampire creation, off in his own little word of his fantasy coming true for one night.

The old idea was a little boring in terms of the story board, so im adding an extra character. This teenager has a little pet rat who is in the common sense and 'brains' in the story. The rat will roll is eyes at him, and wont be as exited as he is, therefore we get a sense of intelligence about the rat. 

Here i want him to burst into the room with EVERYONE in the main hall which will be the eating room of the school. So we get a big reaction from the boy, its not just a few friends... its the whole school. Which will be hilarious.
